The Sunny Atlantic Story

There are only two ways onto the flawless sands of Atlantic Beach, New York. One is with a summer pass available only to Village residents. The other is to join a club like Sunny Atlantic. That’s good news for our carefully groomed beach, and even better news for members like you.

Sunny Atlantic was originally consolidated in the early 1970s from two adjacent clubs, the VIP Hamptons and the Mayfair. Over Thanksgiving in 1980, owner Howard Taub’s grandfather, Paul Malkin, was convinced to buy the Club by one of his sons. He first turned the key in the lock in the frigid days of January, and every day since then the Club has been warmed by the love of Howard and his family. Three generations and literally millions of renovation dollars later, they’re still here to assist you with every need, from reservations and parking to setting up with your kids on the beach.

And we’ll never stop working and reinvesting to make your experience even better. You can learn more still about our Summer Rentals, and take a tour of the whole club in our interactive Photo Gallery.
